Lake Ontario

Lake Ontario is the easternmost of the Great Lakes. The Canadian cities of St. Catharines, Hamilton, Toronto, Oshawa, and Kingston and the American cities Rochester and Oswego lie on Lake Ontario's shores. The lake is fed by the Niagara River and its shores are major fruit-growing and wine-making areas. Over 80 species of fish and birds such as Canada geese, black ducks and mallards make their home around the lake.
